Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using iRecordScreen, you agree to these terms and the applicable app-store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
iRecordScreen is a screen-recording and local media-editing utility. Features vary by platform, device, system version, region, and release.
- The iOS version supports recording setup, system screen broadcast, supported audio, FaceCam, local management, editing, saving, and sharing.
- The Android edition is distributed only in mainland China and can differ from the iOS edition.
- There is no dedicated macOS version.
- The website does not provide account, upload, cloud recording, payment, or hosted editing services in its first release.
Limited license
Subject to these terms and applicable store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for lawful purposes on supported devices. No ownership rights are transferred.
Lawful and responsible use
You are responsible for what you record, edit, store, and share.
- Obtain all notices, permissions, and consents required for recording screens, audio, calls, workplaces, classrooms, minors, or other people.
- Respect copyright, privacy, confidentiality, trade-secret, data-protection, and platform rules.
- Do not bypass DRM, access controls, operating-system restrictions, or another app's capture protections.
- Do not use the product to harass, surveil, impersonate, exploit, or unlawfully distribute content.
Your content
You retain rights in content you lawfully own. You grant no general ownership license to us merely by recording or editing locally. When you save or share through Photos, an app store, email, cloud storage, social media, or another destination, that service's terms and privacy rules apply.
Technical and platform limits
Recording quality, frame rate, duration, internal audio, mixed audio, FaceCam, exports, and sharing are not guaranteed for every device or source. Storage, battery, temperature, memory, iOS or Android behavior, audio routes, connected accessories, DRM, calls, and the recorded app can interrupt, reduce, mute, or prevent capture.
Current free offering
The current iOS release is presented as 100% free, without a subscription, watermark, or product-imposed recording-time quota. This is a description of the current release, not a promise that every future feature or service will always be free. Material commercial changes require clear in-app and website disclosure and compliance with store rules.
Updates and availability
We may fix, add, change, suspend, or retire features for security, compatibility, legal, operational, or product reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every future device, system, app, codec, or store region.
No professional or archival guarantee
The app is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. It is not an emergency, legal-record, medical, safety, surveillance, or guaranteed archival service. Test important settings, keep sufficient storage and power, and retain backup copies of irreplaceable recordings.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized recording, unlawful sharing, third-party apps, store or system failures, device loss, insufficient storage, interrupted capture, unsupported formats, or user deletion. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using and delete the app at any time. We may restrict access where required by law, store rules, security, or serious misuse. Local files should be backed up before uninstalling because removing app data can remove recordings.
Existing published terms
Until this draft is legally approved and deployed, the existing app-store-linked agreements remain the published terms. They contain legacy clauses that should be reconciled with the current product before migration.
Existing agreements
Governing terms and mandatory rights
The final governing-law, venue, consumer-rights, and dispute clauses must be approved for each distribution region before this draft becomes binding. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
Changes to these terms
Material changes will be identified by a new update date and, where required, an in-app notice or renewed acceptance.
