Scope

This policy covers the iRecordScreen website and the iOS app. The mainland-China Android edition can use different SDKs, permissions, and advertising or analytics services; its in-app disclosures and consent screens also apply.

Recordings and editing data

On iOS, screen recordings, FaceCam video, imported media, thumbnails, edit projects, and exported files are processed and stored locally by default. Core recording and editing do not require an iRecordScreen account or cloud upload.

• Files remain under your control until you save, export, share, delete, or choose another service.
• Saving to Photos and sharing use Apple system services and the destination you select.
• You are responsible for obtaining permission to record, edit, store, and share people or content.

Device permissions

The app requests permissions only when a feature needs them. You can change permission choices in system settings, but the related feature may stop working.

• Screen Recording / ReplayKit: captures the screen and supported audio through the system broadcast flow.
• Camera: provides front or rear FaceCam.
• Microphone: records narration or supported mixed audio.
• Photos: saves finished recordings or imports selected media where the chosen workflow requires it.

Analytics, diagnostics, and third-party SDKs

The iOS codebase contains a mainland-China analytics integration that is intended to initialize only in the applicable region and after required consent. Before publication, the actual fields, consent flow, retention, and App Store privacy answers must be reconciled. The website does not intentionally load third-party advertising or analytics scripts in this first static release.

• App Store, operating-system, hosting, customer-support, and distribution providers process data under their own terms.
• We do not describe the product as collecting no data until the implemented regional analytics behavior and store disclosures have been reviewed.
• We do not sell screen recordings or use them to train models.

Support and feedback

When you contact support, we process the information you choose to provide so we can answer and diagnose the issue.

• Email address, message, and attachments you send.
• App version, device model, iOS version, region, and language included in a support request.
• Optional short recording-setting diagnostics. Do not send private recordings unless necessary and authorized.

Website data

irecordscreen.com is planned as a static Firebase Hosting website without login, upload, payment, or recording services. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent, and security logs. No marketing cookies are planned for the first release.

Mainland-China Android edition

The Android edition is distributed only in mainland China and is technically different from the iOS app. The candidate codebase contains analytics and advertising SDKs and requests additional Android permissions. The final Android store build, SDK list, purposes, data fields, consent flow, and opt-out controls must be verified in a dedicated disclosure before its website download link is enabled.

Retention and deletion

Local recordings remain until you delete them or the operating system removes app data. Support correspondence and operational security logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, legal, or dispute purposes, subject to provider and legal requirements.

Your choices and rights

You can manage recordings in the app, revoke device permissions in system settings, choose whether to send support information, and contact us to exercise applicable access, correction, deletion, objection, or complaint rights. Some requests require identity verification.

Children

iRecordScreen is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children for behavioral advertising. Guardians and educators should supervise recordings involving minors and obtain any required consent.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no device, network, or storage method is completely secure. Protect your device and review recordings before sharing.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be shown with a new update date and, where required, an in-app notice or consent request. We will not silently expand sensitive processing through a website text change alone.
